My Mom, Terry Cook
Terry Ann Cook in about the early 1950's in Hamilton, Ohio. She was born in 1948. Her parents were Helen J. (Sositko) and Fred W. Cook. Terry's hair is naturally straight (and thick). She has a curly perm in this photo of her. Her mother started giving her daughter perms very early.

Pamela 'Pam' Tuttle
Pamela Renee "Pam" Tuttle at 2 1/2 years old in the summer of 1969 at her grandparents, Beulah F (Parsley) and Versell E Tuttle's house. The daughter of Terry Ann Cook and Elvin Charles Tuttle. The stepdaughter of James "Jimmy" Bradley.
This was the summer that Pam and her mother, Terry watched the first moon landing together on television in July. Since Pam was only 2 years old she didn't understand it because she thought there were already people on the moon and also a witch on the moon (probably from watching movies, TV shows and cartoons of people on the moon). One of her favorite books around that time was a book about a witch on Halloween. This was also the summer that Pam's mother, Terry and Jimmy got together in August when he got back from the U.S. Army and the fighting in Vietnam.

Take notice to the German mugs (steins) in the background of the photo. They were mugs that Mark "Gene" Henry brought home from Germany for his mom, stepfather (& uncle) and his sisters in the 1950's. The mugs he brought home had the names Mom, Bud, Terry, Michaele and Sherry. The mug named 'Michaele' is not in this photo. The mug named 'Sherry' fell and broke around the time of this photo. Terry's family still has the mugs with the names Mom, Bud and Terry.

Bertha Rose (Zlatykanicz) Sositko
My mother's maternal grandmother in the early 1900's. She was born Bronislawa Rosalia (or 'Bronislawa Rozalia') "Bertha Rose" Zlatykanicz on August 12, 1883 in Muszyna, Poland [Austria-Hungary] and died June 23, 1951 in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio U.S.A.. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She came to the U.S.A. in 1907 and she got off the ship in Baltimore, Maryland. She married John "Jan" "Joannes" Sositko in December 1908 in Hamilton, Ohio.
Her maternal great grandmother, Emerentiana Eva Gertruda (Roskovanyi) Goedl was a Hungarian noblewoman born to P.D. X-toph ("Kristof", "Christoph") Roskovanyi and Eva Deseoffi ('Dessewffy') in Roskovany, Hungary (now Rozkovany, Slovakia).
Several family members has this same exact photo.
If anyone searches for Bertha in immigration records on the Ancestry website she can also be found under 'Bronislawa Zlalykaincz'. Her name is spelled correctly on the ship list but someone didn't spell it correctly when copying the information for searching. Bertha's parents' names were Piotr "Peter" "Petrus" Zlatykanicz and Apolonia Franciszka Chmielowska (or spelled as Apollonia Francisca Chmielowski). Bertha's maternal grandparents were Joseph Chmielowski and Emerentia Apolonia Goedl, daughter of Francis Goedl and Emerentiana Eva G. Roskovanyi (also spelled as Roskoványi or Roskovany 'Rozkovany'). I have a family chart on the Roskovanyi family going back to the 1200's and I have photos of several different Roskovanyi coat of arms.
