John E. Gurlo
My father was born in Chicago and grew up in Chicago, IL, Batavia, IL and LaPorte, IN. He went to Senn H.S. in Chicago and also a laboratory school that I believe was run by the YMCA. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He worked numerous jobs, including at Proctor and Gamble in Chicago, and with his father Steve Gurlo in the garment industry. He changed his surname from Gurlo to "North" ca. 1965. His death records would be under John North.

I am hoping to find information about the Gurlo family, my father's people. They were originally from Minsk in what is now Belarus.
