Walter West was my grandmother's half-brother. He was born July 1887 to Alida (Eliza J. Hayden) West. I know nothing of his father. Alida later married Eugene Cilley of Maine and had my grandmother, Dorothy Irene, in Boston in 1897. I would like to find out if there are other Wests out there who would like some of Walter's photos. In the 1930 census I found a Walter West who fits our Walter's age who was married to a Ruth. It appears they may not have had children, however. I have no idea which man is Walter in this photo.
