Walter West and friend
Walter West & Friend
Walter West was my grandmother's half-brother. He was born July 1887 to Alida (Eliza J. Hayden) West. I know nothing of his father. Alida later married Eugene Cilley of Maine and had my grandmother, Dorothy Irene, in Boston in 1897. I would like to find out if there are other Wests out there who would like some of Walter's photos. In the 1930 census I found a Walter West who fits our Walter's age who was married to a Ruth. It appears they may not have had children, however. I have no idea which man is Walter in this photo.

Cousin John Hayden
Cousin Johnny Hayden.
This was in my grandmother's photo collection. It says "Cousin Johnny Hayden" on the back in her handwriting. Her mother Alida (Eliza J.) Hayden had a brother named John, which would be her uncle, not her cousin. I have not located any other Johns in the family yet. Alida and John's parents were from Ireland (Thomas and Bridgett Hayden) and settled in Windham, NY. They had ten children between 1850 and 1870. I have found no census information that shows that any of their grandchildren were named John. Who is this guy?

My great grandfather John A. Stout born abt. 1863
This is a photo of my great grandfather John A. Stout. He was born about 1863, probably in Indiana. He was an orphan and I would like to find his parents and other family. He was raised from young boyhood by a couple named Elisha and Elizabeth Spencer in Wayne (Richmond, Indiana) and Randolph Co., Indiana. The Toneys/Spencers were from Preble County, Ohio and their parents were from Franklin Co., Virgina and PA. Many in the Toney family were from Boone Co., WV now Kanawha Co., Va. Stout was probably John A.'s birth surname, because he mentions an Aunt Jane Stout, Matt Stout, J.A. Stout, and a George Stout in a journal he wrote in in 1894. Does anyone recognize his photo or any of these names or places? I would love to find his Stout parents and family!

What Stout family did he belong to before he was orphaned?
