Young Cotton Field
This photo is of young cotton plants on a farm in Hall Co., Near Memphis, Texas. The cotton beds in this picture look like they have been cultivated at least one time. During this period here would have been thousands of acres planted like this. In 1937 most farmers were still useing teams of mules and horses to work the land even though a few farmers had purchased tractors. Photo created and published by Dorothea Lange in June 1937.
