Charlotte graduated from Washington High School, Cedar Rapids, Linn Co, IA in 1935. Her class was the last to graduate from there before they tore it down and built a different one elsewhere. She played the accordian in bands. She eventually married Byron (Barney) Sears Rains on 29 Nov 1936. She was a wonderful, fun, loving woman.

Tainui passengers, 1910 New Zealand
This is a photo of some of the passengers who arrived in Wellington New Zealand 1910 on the ship Tainui. The Captain was Capt MOFFATT. The lady in the boater behind the reel on the left is Jessie GORDON. She traveled with her sister, Isabella GORDON- she is near the middle of the pic in the back second row, with the V shaped front and a braid around her neck, next to a man with a moustache

George Paul Sigmund b: 25 Jun 1884 d: 19 Dec 1970 in Shriner's Uniform with his Tuba in Cedar Rapids, IA. George played with the Shriner's band for 32 years. (Not sure when photo was taken, most likely in the late 60's)

Berl Herschel Minehart
Berl Herschel Minehart b: 23 Oct 1909 in Las Animas, Colorado; d: 06 Oct 1936 in Cedar Rapids, Linn Co, IA. Berl was the son of Leo William Minehart (1882-1954) and Irene Matilda (Greer) Minehart (1886-1970) He died at the young age of 26 when he fell off a bridge into the Cedar River dam lock while fishing. He is buried in Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Linn Co, IA alongside his parents. I apologize for the poor quality of this picture. It was taken off of a microfilmed newspaper.
