Albert Twiddy 1873 - 1910

Albert Twiddy of Mt Korong Australia was born in 1873 to Robert Twiddy and Susanna (Wooding) Twiddy. He had siblings Esther (Twiddy) Roberts, John Twiddy, Rebecca (Twiddy) Gregson, Alice Maud (Twiddy) Petterd, Emma (Twiddy) Starr, Maurice Twiddy, and Cornelius Twiddy. He married Margaret Elizabeth (Somerville) Twiddy, and had children Alma Alice Klenner ( Twiddy and Robert Somerville Twiddy. Albert Twiddy died at age 36 years old on January 8, 1910 in Bendigo, VIC, and was buried on January 15, 1910 at Wedderburn Cemetery in Wedderburn.

Introduction

The Bendigo Advertiser. Victoria. 10th January 1910. Our Wedderburn correspondent writes:- A telegram from the Bendigo Hospital announcing the death of "Bert" Twiddy on Saturday morning from pneumonia caused a sensation here. Deceased was a member of the bakery firm of Twiddy and Sons, and till recently was a popular contributor to all the entertainments in the district. Some months ago deceased was incapacitated from his duties by sore eyes. This gradually deranged his mind, and about 10 days ago he was re-admitted to the hospital for observation when pneumonia set in.

The Age, Melbourne. 11th January 1910. TWIDDY. - On the 8th January, at Bendigo Hospital, Albert Twiddy, beloved husband of Margaret Isabel Twiddy, of Wedderburn. Aged 36. - Deeply mourned. The funeral of Mr. Albert Twiddy, who died in the Bendigo Hospital on Saturday, took place at Wedderburn yesterday. The members of the A.N.A. and the local band headed the cortege. Mr Millar, of the Church of Christ, read the burial service.
