Maurice Twiddy 1864 - 1912

Maurice Twiddy of Mt Korong Australia was born in 1864 in Wedderburn, Victoria to Robert Twiddy and Susannah Wooding Twiddy. He had siblings Esther Tweedie, Corneluis Twiddy, John Twiddy, Emma Twiddy, George Twiddy, Rebecca Twiddy, Cornelius Twiddy, John Twiddy, Albert Twiddy, and George Twiddy. He married Sophia (White) Twiddy, and had children Maud Maunder Henderson (Twiddy), Robert William Twiddy, Elva Beatrice Ford (Twiddy), Wilfred Maurice Twiddy, and Charles Twiddy. Maurice Twiddy died at age 48 years old in 1912 in Mt Korong, and was buried at Wedderburn Cemetery in Wedderburn, Loddon Shire County, VIC.

    The Bendigo Advertiser. -12th January 1912. Wedderburn. Mr. John Twiddy, a well known resident, was accidentally thrown from a cart yesterday, and sustained fractures of several ribs.

    The funeral of Mr. Maurice Twiddy took place at Wedderburn yesterday. The deceased gentleman was a native of Wedderburn and about 48 years of age. Recently he developed a serious illness, and was taken to Bendigo last week, where it was discovered he was suffering from a malignant growth on the liver, for which no perment relief could be expected.
