Kathy Pinna:
Donald Madden was an actor, known for 1776 (1972), The United States Steel Hour (1953) and Play of the Week (1959). He died on January 22, 1983 in Central Islip, Suffolk, New York at the age of 49.
He was an acclaimed stage actor whose major credits include the title role in Hamlet, setting a record of 113 consecutive performances; Sergius in Arms and The Man; and several seasons with the Joseph Papp Shakespeare Festival.
Donald was nominated for Broadway's 1967 Tony Award as Best Actor (Dramatic) for Peter Shaffer's "Black Comedy".
"1776" (1972) was the only theatrically released film he made: He was one of the few actors in the film version of "1776" who did not portray his role on Broadway. Also, his solo song in "1776" was cut from the theatrical version and was not restored until the DVD release in 1992 and his solo song was not included on the soundtrack album.
Donald played the same character in two versions of "U.S. Steel Hour" "The Old Lady Shows Her Medals" in 1956 and 1963.
Pam Marks:
Connie was a nursing assistant in her 40's at Morningside Manor, a nursing home. Previously, she was a waitress at her 3rd husband's family resort - Blue Lake Lodge - in Northern California.
After being a nursing assistant, she moved to Seward, Alaska, and become a nursing assistant at Seward Hospital. About a year after the big quake in the 1960s, she moved from Seward to Valdez, where she continued working in the nursing field. Before leaving Alaska, Connie was working as a nurse for a bush pilot, flying out into the areas where there was little to no medical facilities. She loved it, as it suited her love of travel and adventure.
Connie moved to Redwood City, California, in 1968, working as an LVN at Sequoia Hospital. After retiring from Sequoia, Connie became a private nurse for a wealthy woman who wintered in Mesa, Arizona, and had a permanent home in Michigan.
She retired to Soquel, California, near Santa Cruz, in her late 60s.

Joseph Balachowski:
Trying to solve a mystery. - Karol Bienko and my father, Joseph Balachowski were fellow partisans in the Polish Home Army during WWII, in the eastern part of Poland that now belongs to Ukraine.
During the war they operated out of a farm where my father met my future mother. At the end of WWII my parents ended up in a displaced persons camp in Salzburg, Austria. According to them, Karol disappeared.
In 1948 my parents emigrated to the United States. After my father retired from teaching at a California college, my parents retired to Hemet, CA. This is less than 100 miles from Desert Hot Springs, CA, where Karol Bienko spent his last days. My father passed away in 1989.
I am not sure this was a coincidence. It's possible Mr. Bienko somehow found my father. But did they ever communicate?
Does anyone out there know this story? I would love to hear from you.

James Roy (Jim) was an employee of Southwestern Bell in Houston Texas. He was the second of 7 children born to Lorene and Douglas Bellamy. He graduated M.B.Smiley High School in Houston Texas in 1963.
He was the husband of Pamela Jouette Koehler Bellamy at the time of his demise. He was the father of 4 children that he loved dearly, Bryan Davis Bellamy, Fonda Elizabeth, Ernest Adrian Koehler and his precious 3 month old daughter Jamie ivette-michelle Bellamy(Nash). He also owned a roofing company.
Jim grew up in church and was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church where his father was a deacon. He was preceded in death by his younger sister Jane Bellamy.
He loved cigars, cars, his children and his wife Pam.
He was buried at his request in Butter Cemetery in Forest Hill Louisiana along with Pamela's many family members and where Pamela will one day be buried as well.

Elsie was my Paternal Grandmother - Elsie was my sounding board anytime I was trying to deal with a personal problem. When I was little, she loved brushing my long, curly hair. She would always say it was just like hers, growing in all directions.
One of my favorite funny things I remember about her was that she was a great cook and created these huge delicious meals for holidays, but was notorious for also creating a giant mess in the kitchen. She didn't clean anything as she cooked, it was all left for us to clean up after the meal was over!

Jim Gilpin was a good friend...I first met him when I moved to Rio Rico, AZ
Jim was managing a Swim @ Racquet Club there in Rio Rico,AZ..He hired me on to help him run the facility...As soon as Jim found out I was a Vietnam Veteran, he
had me join the local VFW which he was also a member of....I got to love that man...He treated me like a son...I got to meet his wife and daughter...They had a beautiful stucco home overlooking a deep canyon...Jim had lost an arm in the war and wore a prosthetic arm which he was always getting out his small wrench to adjust the cable tension to the hand...If someone is out there that remembers Jim please contact me at e-mail address [contact link] or text me at (541) 626-1578...

Thornton, England?? - Please tell me where this is? In researching my great grandfather and where he was born I was told there is no such town as “Thornton” in England. I’ve been trying to find his parents for many years with no luck so far. His name was Charles Thornton and he was born about 1855 in England. Not sure when he came to the USA but it was before 1872 when he married my great grandfather in Iowa.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

My Best Friend: Steven L Koenig - Steve was at least 6'7" tall with black hair and could stop traffic with his good looks. He passed in 1993, but what was amazing about him was his honesty, amazing sense of humor (wit), and his hopeful search for that one person who would become the love of his life. He would have been my lifelong friend but his life was cut short by HIV.
But his life is not defined by how he died but with the lasting remembrance of his wonderful presence and the sense of joy that he left us all with. I know his spirit is alive and he is with us. I am only filled with gratitude of having met him. God bless you Steve! All my love.

A friendly man of many skills - Leonard was a family friend and skilled tradesman who helped out in many ways whether it was helping my aging grandfather to update our former apartment, to help my Dad and Unc when they needed a bartender in a pinch in their Bungalow Inn restaurant , or to help my Unc in remodeling his Fox Lake summer cottage into a year round home. .(which offered Leonard some weekend getaway fringe benefits ).We had several rides in his Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. whatta cool car! I knew he lived w and was taking care of his Mom We lost touch and saddened to hear of his passing

Terry - Cindi and my sister were best friends. She had a traumatic upbringing. I hated going to her house, her father terrified me. She spent a good deal of time at our house and her and my sister moved to North Dakota together. I never met her child , sadly. My own sister has died but Cindi was always in her heart
