She was married to William Waddington on March 20, 1855 at St. John the Baptist's Church in Misson, Nottinghamshire County, and had children William Waddington, Martha Ann Waddington, Mary Waddington, George Waddington, Anna Waddington, Stephen Waddington, and John Waddington. Ann Capill died at age 75 years old in December 1907 in Lower Cumberworth, West Yorkshire County, and was buried on December 24, 1907 at St. Nicholas' Church in Upper Cumberworth.

In 1832, in the year that Ann Capill was born, on November 14th, Charles Carroll - the last surviving signer of the Declaration of Independence - died at his home in Maryland. He was 95 years old. He signed the Declaration as "Charles Carroll of Carrollton", distinguishing him from several other Charles Carroll's who were living in the area at the time.

In 1864, at the age of 32 years old, Ann was alive when on June 15th, Arlington National Cemetery was created in Arlington Virginia. 200 acres from the grounds of Robert E. Lee's home were set aside to be a military cemetery. The home and grounds had been in Lee's wife's family - she was a great-granddaughter of Martha Washington.
