He was married to Ann Capill on March 20, 1855 at St. John the Baptist's Church in Misson, Nottinghamshire County, and had children William Waddington, Martha Ann Waddington, Mary Waddington, George Waddington, Anna Waddington, Stephen Waddington, and John Waddington. William Waddington died at age 47 years old in February 1873 in Misson, and was buried on February 28, 1873 at St. John the Baptist's Church in Misson.
