Charles Garrison Leake was born on February 8, 1819 in Millville, Cumberland County, New Jersey United States to Nathan Leake Jr. and Ruth Garrison, and had siblings Emma Leake, William Garrison Leake, Nathan Leake, Samuel Fithian Leake, Ruth Leake, James Madison Leake, Eliza Stretch Leake, and Ephraim Fithian Leake. He married Mary Emma Lore, and had children Emma Leake and Beulah Leake. Charles Leake died at age 77 years old on December 23, 1896 in Millville.
