Eleanor Summers (Binger) Stebbins 1853 - 1904

Eleanor Summers (Binger) Stebbins of Bendigo Australia was born in 1853 at sea off the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa to Samuel Henry Max Binger and Catherine (O'Brien) Binger. She had siblings Samuel Henry Binger, Rosaline (Binger) Cram, Alfred Benjamin Binger, Catherine Olivia Binger, John Christian Binger, Robert Henry Binger, and Isabella Cecilia Binger. She married John Stephen Stebbins, and had children Catherine Olivia (Stebbins) Sparkman, Alfred Franklin Stebbins, Rev. Ivan Stanley Stebbins, Willoughby Austin Stebbins, Roland Ira Christian Stebbins, and Raymond Ormsby Stebbins. Eleanor Stebbins died at age 50 years old on April 25, 1904 at Quarry Hill in Bendigo, VIC Australia, and was buried at Bendigo Cemetery, in Quarry Hill, Greater Bendigo City County.

    The Bendigo Advertiser. Victoria. 26th April 1904. Yesterday, Mrs. Eleanor Stebbins, wife of Mr. John Stebbins, passed away at her residence, "Mayfield," Breen-street, Quarry Hill, after an illness of four months, at the age of 51 years. The deceased lady, who was highly respected, was born at sea off the Cape of Good Hope, and had lived in Victoria for over 50 years. In addition to her husband, she leaves a family of seven.
