Emily Ada (Coleman) Lardner was born in 1881 to Samuel Coleman and Emily Hubble. She married Albert Thomas "Dick" Lardner, and had children Albert Cyril Lardner, Hector McDonald Lardner, Emilie Dulcie (Lardner) Routley, Keith Inglis Lardner, and Joyce Elma (Lardner) Macey. Emily Lardner died at age 79 years old in 1960 in Saint Arnaud, Northern Grampians Shire County, Victoria Australia.

In 1881, in the year that Emily Ada (Coleman) Lardner was born, on October 26th, the "Gunfight at the O.K. Corral" happened in Tombstone, Arizona. The gunfight lasted only 30 seconds - the Earps and Doc Holliday on one side and the "Cowboys" on the other side. The McLaury brothers and Billy Clanton of the Cowboys were killed. Two of the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday were wounded.
