He had siblings Alice Clarke Trahan, John George Clarke, and James Henry Clarke. He married Mary Agnes (Ward) Clarke, and had children Jane Frances (Clarke) Evans, Alfred John Clarke, Frederick William Clarke, Arthur Clarke, Mary Agnes (Clarke) Derbyshire, and Catherine Lucy (Clarke) Derbyshire. Frederick Clarke died at age 62 years old on June 6, 1905 in Golden Gully, Greater Bendigo City County, VIC Australia.
