Frederick William Clarke of Bendigo, Greater Bendigo City County, VIC Australia was born on June 24, 1873 in Golden Gully to Frederick William Clarke and Mary Agnes (Ward) Clarke. He had siblings Arthur Clarke, Catherine Lucy (Clarke) Derbyshire, Alfred John Clarke, Mary Agnes (Clarke) Derbyshire, and Jane Frances (Clarke) Evans. He married Jessie Munro Clarke in 1902, and had children Willma Marie Clarke, Norma Olive Clarke, Muriel Agnes Clarke, Lillian Maud Clarke, William Howard Clarke, and Eunice Clare Clarke. Frederick Clarke died at age 48 years old in 1921 in Bendigo.

It went into effect on April 1st and ended the use of gold and silver in the U.S. for currency - placing the country on the gold standard. The Act wasn't popular with everyone.

In 1895, at the age of 22 years old, Frederick was alive when on May 18th, Italy's first motor race was held. The race was 58 miles long - from Turin to Asti and back. Five cars started but only three completed the race. It was won by Simone Federman who drove a Daimler Omnibus - his average speed was 9.6 mph.
