Daniel Pinna:
"11/10 - 11/11/19 was a great new experience for me. I was in Bakersfield at a recording studio called River Theatre at 1213 North Chester Ave in Oildale (Bakersfield) CA working on a new company with new business partners. The River Theatre opened in September 1939 and then closed around 1964/1965. It became a recording studio for Buck Owens from 1968 until 1992 when a number of artists like Johnny Cash recorded. It then became an independent recording studio from 1992 until it closed in April 2008. Since that time a new friend of mine has utilized the location for him and his band.
It was my 1st time to Bakersfield and one of my longer drives. I've only driven once longer than that and that was the time my father and I drove from San Jose to Los Angeles over to Phoenix Arizona to visit my grandmother in Sun City."
Jan Robertson:
John was my baby brother. After John graduated he spent the summer with me in Minneapolis and after he returned to Ivanhoe he would visit me. We had a good relationship. We would go shopping, go to antique stores near Ivanhoe, casino by Pipestone, and just visiting, etc. I would talk to him everyday. I miss John and love him. I wish he was still with us. May God be kind to his soul, RIP.
Jennifer (Hutton) Goertler:
My grandmother, Trudie, was funny, sassy, and an awesome cook and baker, hard working, and thoughtful. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her at the home she lived at in Kirtland, Ohio.
I truly wish I would have asked more about her life, her family, and any dreams she had while growing up. I miss her everyday, even after all of these years.

He was my uncle...Him and his wife (Hilda) were very loving...They took me on vacations every summer when I was a child...these were very special...my uncle had a bird that he loved...I remember when he left cage open and the bird would always sit on his shoulder when he would read the newspaper...I loved them both dearly...they are truly missed...your niece, Susan Emmett💖💖💖

Lost relatives - Fredrika Scherry McCauley was my great great grandmother, me and my mother were talking about her tonight and she showed me a picture of her on her 105th birthday. She told stories of how she use to watch the NY Yankees from the roof top of her apartment in the Bronx. I am Ethel graces great grand child and have recently learned that there was a family division with the graces and McCauleys. Hoping this finds someone I may not know I’m related to !

Daniel"Bud" Geib ( My Father) - One time I went to the parts store with My Father I was six years old . The cashier lady asked if he was my grandpa and if I was having fun and I said " NOPE THATS MY DAD AND YES IM HAVING FUN IM WITH MY DAD." I didn't realize at six that my dad looked as if he was my grandpa he always looked like my Dad! I love him and miss him dearly .
Mark Musser:
Mark Musser - I was a friend of Laurie's back while we were both attending LSU Shreveport during the '80s. I last saw her in 1996. We went out a few times, but were mainly friends. I recall her as a kind but somewhat melancholy person. We had lost contact after '97, and I called her mother around 2008 and learned of her passing in 2006. Rest in Peace, Laurie. I haven't forgotten you.
Ramon Garcia:
Happy Mother’s Day!!! - Kanella was like a grandmother to me. She would pick me up after school, take care of me while my parents were working. I will never forget her being there at every single life event, even when my own biological grandparents couldn’t be there.
She would help with my homework as much as she could. If not she would have her daughter Lorraine assist with the day’s assignment.
One thing I will always remember her by will be by her cooking and how she would make me help her in the kitchen. It was so much fun and therapeutic.
You see this is not something that I could share with my own biological grandmothers, so I treasure to this day those special moments. She was to me, what you call in the Italian-American culture, my nonna.
Although my life had a different path in store for me, there has always been a passion for the kitchen and the art of creating a meal from scratch no matter how many dishes nor utensils are involved in the process. Cooking with passion and for the reward of a potpourri of rich aromas seeping out of her 2nd story apartment and into the hallway and stairs of the 5 story tenement building in Washington Heights.

Harry Rockowitz was born on June 2nd, 1916 in Rochester, New York to Jacob Rockowitz (1895 - 1948) and Mary Rockawitz (1896 - 1983) and he had sisters Sara, Anna and Leona.
Harry Rockowitz married Selma Estelle Levin (1920 - 1990) in 1947 and they had a daughter, Betsy Louise, and a son. They divorced in 1970 in San Mateo County, California.
He then married Florence Mendell, who was born in 1922, on Marcy 21st, 1971 in San Mateo County, California.
Thomas Crockett:
My grandmother - Grandma Marie was my only grandparent still alive when I was a kid. She was ahead of her time and was always ahead in technology and culture. She was always very busy. Even when she went into the nursing home, she had you stay a lil while and then she had cards with the girls, hair apt or bingo. She had 4 children and was an amazing grandmother to me.
She always collected crackers n other candies n give them to us but sometimes they were a bit stale but we loved it anyway
Parrie Powell:
Katherine Speights grand daughter "Parrie" - My grandma Katherine was God fearing, kind, loving, very firm and straight forward. I loved her strength, wisdom, and courage. She taught me to always keep God first, be honest, straight forward, and always stand firm on my word and beliefs. I am her son, Harry Speights' daughter. I was named after my grandma Katherine's sister "Parrie" which was my great aunt. I love and miss my grandma Katherine very much and wish she were here to see the current generation of grandchildren.
