She was in a relationship with Ellsworth Leondas Scarlett, and had children Elva Helen Scarlett, Harold Ellsworth Scarlett, Alma Gertrude Scarlett, Homer Fredrick Scarlett, Hazel Louise Scarlett, and Marie Anna Scarlett. Helena Scarlett died at age 66 years old on February 8, 1945 in Valley Falls, Jefferson County.
