Uncover new discoveries and connections today by sharing about people & moments from yesterday.
  • Introduction

Henry's main occupation was the medical profession. He was about 70 inches tall and had brown hair and sported a moustache for many years. He was a supporter of Theodore Roosevelt and his motto of speak softly and carry a big stick. One important clue is in the Williams College alumni archives where he stated for the reason of his scarce letters to the alumni news was because he felt he let his actions speak louder that his words. He wed on Apr.11,1902 in N.Y.C. to Bertha Von Hornamann Munde and had 4 children. Photos of him seen by this writer as a young adult show him with characteristics similar to actor Mike Farrell in his early years on the M.A.S.H. tv series. His relationship to this writer ( via Prof. Frederic Leake alone ) is half great granduncle. Henry's mother is a descendant of the old New England family of Bulkeley and when his half brother Richard, b. 1858, married Annie Nichols, who is also descended from the Bulkeley family, the children from that marriage had an important major secondary connection.
