He married Louisa Whitaker, and had children John Henry Scott and Sallie Scott. James Scott died at age 83 years old circa 1931.

James M. Scott is my Great-Grandfather. He was born in Dutch Buffalo Creek North Carolina in 1848. He was the son of John & Sarah An Scott. Who hails from Gold Hill NC. I am the granddaughter of Jesse B. Scott his son from his union with Louise Whitaker (born 1858). Her mother was Cynthia Whitaker (born 1830), there was also a sister named Barbara (born 1860). My research shows that Cynthia's father was named John Whitaker (born 1790) and hails from England

Tivy D. Scott Family in 1910

In 1910 the Tivy D. Scott Family lived here in Tolosa, Kaufman County, Texas. Tivy and Almeda continued to live here until moving to a nursing home in the 1960s.

T. D. Scott Family 1912

The T. D. Scott family in front of their home in Tolosa, Texas, where the Scotts, Tiby and Almeda lived until moving to a nursing home in the 1960s.

Mr. Scott was a successful farmer, deacon in the Baptist church on County Line Road and trustee of the Tolosa School.

He owned a Saxon Six automobile back in 1919.
