She married William Theodore Stacey, and had children William Owen Stacey, Mary Ann Elizabeth (Stacey) Motteram, Henry Evan "Harry" Stacey, Evan Rowland Stacey, and Theodore Charles Stacey. Mary Stacey died at age 55 years old on March 17, 1885 in Carlton, City of Melbourne County, VIC Australia, and was buried at Melbourne General Cemetery College Cres, in Parkville.
