He had siblings Granville Henry Clark, Elizabeth Emslie Clark, Frances Ethel (Clark) Wray, and Joseph Douglas Clark. He married Doris Lillian (Gambling) Pearce Clark, and died at age 57 years old on July 29, 1952 at Springbank Repatriation Hospital in Daw Park, City of Mitcham County, SA Australia. Norman Clark was buried at Centennial Park Cemetery 760 Goodwood Rd, in Pasadena, SA.

    The Advertiser, Adelaide. 21st April 1921. MARRIAGES. CLARK - GAMBLING. The marriage of Lillian, only daughter of Mrs. E. and the Late Mr. E. G. Gambling, of Toorak Gardens, to Norman Stead, son of Mr. J. Stead Clark and the late Mrs. Clark of Fullarton, was quietly solemnised on the 12th of April, at Scots Church, North Terrace, Adelaide, by the Rev. Blanchard.
