Owen Philip Dunn was born in 1860 to Thomas Alexander Dunn and Emma Charlotte (Southurst) Dunn, and had siblings Emma Charlotte (Dunn) Sach and Thomas Alexander Dunn. He married Mary (Hastings) Dunn, and had children Ellen Eleanor (Dunn) Gahan, Owen Dunn, and Emma Dunn. Owen Dunn died at age 39 years old on January 29, 1900.

DUNN.- On the 29th January, Owen Philip, dearly beloved husband of Mary Dunn, son of the late Thomas and Emma Dunn, of Buckingham- street, Richmond; son-in-law of Stephen and the late Ellen Hastings, of Richmond; and beloved father of Owen, Ellen and Emma Dunn. Aged 40 years. Rest in peace.
