Ronald Lee "Buzz" Wilson married Martha "Peggy" Faye Hatcher (1946 - 2018) on September 1st, 1962 in Shawnee, Illinois. They had three children, two daughters, Christina Dawn (1973 - 1973) and Debbie, and one son, Rodger "Bones" Wilson. Ronald Wilson died on May 18th, 2010 at 68 years old in Owensboro, Kentucky.

In 1941, in the year that Ronald L Wilson was born, in his State of the Union address on January 6th, President Roosevelt detailed the "four freedoms" that everyone in the world should have: Freedom of speech, Freedom of worship, Freedom from want, and Freedom from fear. In the same speech, he outlined the benefits of democracy which he said were economic opportunity, employment, social security, and the promise of "adequate health care".

In 1951, he was merely 10 years old when on April 5th, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg (husband and wife) were sentenced to death for treason. They were executed on June 19th. American citizens, they were convicted of spying for the Soviet Union. Their two young sons were adopted by a high school teacher and his wife.
