Tobias Edwards was born in 1831 to James Edwards and Mary Lucy Langdon, and had siblings William Langdon Edwards, Robert Langdon Edwards, and Mary Langdon Wescombe ( Edwards. He was in a relationship with Christina Edwards ( Laing, and had children George Langdon Edwards, Tobias Langdon Edwards Jnr, Lillia Margaret Langdon Ruff ( Edwards, Annie Langdon Wall ( Edwards, and Sydney Langdon Edwards. Tobias Edwards died at age 62 years old on May 12, 1894 in Beechworth, Indigo Shire County, VIC Australia.

Table Talk, Melbourne. 12th July 1895. WILLS and BEQUESTS. TOBIAS LANGDON EDWARDS, of Pelluebla, farmer, by his Will dated December 11, 1889, and presented for probate by Mr. A. E. Akehurst, of Yarrawonga, solicitor, appointed by his wife, Christina Edwards, sole executrix. Testator bequeathed his landed property in trust for his wife during her life-time, and on her death directed it to be divided between his children equally. The residue........

The Age, Melbourne. 9th June 1894. EDWARDS.- On the 12th May, at Beechworth, Tobias Langdon Edwards, the dearly beloved husband of Christina Edwards, aged 63 years. Late of Lancefield. Interred in the Wilby Cemetery. Inserted by his loving wife, C. Edwards, Lancefield.

The island was discovered by Humphrey Fleming Senhouse, a British sea captain, on August 1st and claimed by the United Kingdom. The island still exists but is now once again underwater.
