William James Letcher of Ballarat Australia was born on May 4, 1861 in Ballarat East, City of Ballarat County, VIC to Margaret (Hosking) Letcher and John Letcher. He had siblings Elizabeth Jane (Letcher) Lovekin, Ada Margaret Letcher, Jessie Letcher, Dr. Herbert Richard Letcher, Esther Mckenzie Letcher, Ernest Albert Letcher, and John Hosking Letcher. He married Elizabeth Webb (Pacey) Letcher in 1882, and had children Violet May Marga Letcher, Harold John Letcher, and Norman Joseph Letcher. William Letcher died at age 86 years old on December 5, 1947 at Parring Rd, in Balwyn, City of Boroondara County.
