Addie A. Patterson

I’ve “rescued” an old photograph of Mrs. J. F. (Addie A.) PATTERSON which was taken at the L. Dowe Studio in San Francisco, CA. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1870’s with Addie likely in her 30’s or 40’s at the time it was taken. Based on limited research and thanks to a PATTERSON Family Researcher I was able to gather the following information regarding Addie and her family:

James F. PATTERSON was b. 15 May 1834 in Virginia and married Adie A. EMERSON on 7 Feb 1875 in Tulare, CA. Addie died 9 Oct 1889 and is buried in the Lake View Cemetery in Seattle, WA. James died 14 Feb 1903 in Seattle, WA and is also buried in the Lake View Cemetery in Seattle, WA.

Census records provide the following details:

1880 census of Tule River, CA:

J. F. PATTERSON, age 66, a Farmer, born VA, parents born USA
Adda A. PATTERSON, wife, age 31, Keeping House, born MA, parents born NH/MA

1900 census of Seattle, WA:

J. F. PATTERSON, a widower, born VA
