Blake Towe
I have in my possession an old photograph of Blake TOWE which was taken at the Beardsley Studio in Charlotte, MI. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Blake likely about 5 months old at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Blake and his family:

Thomas Blake TOWE was b. 1 Oct 1894 in Charlotte or Benton Township, Eaton Co., MI to parents Harry H. TOWE (1868-1930) and Mary Bertha TREASTER (1875-1930) who were married in Lansing, MI on 31 Oct 1893. It appears that Blake was their only child. Blake married three times, first to Vera M. BOWES (1896-1900) on 17 Dec 1913 in LaPorte, IN and they had a son, Robert H. TOWE b. 1916. Blake and Vera divorced in 1920 in Eaton Co., MI.

Blake then married Marie Marjorie SHUTTER or SHUTER (1905-1964) on 19 Jan 1921 in Marshall, MI. His third marriage was to Sarah or Syra Lois MCCORKEL (1895-1994) who he married on 1 Jun 1929 in St. Joseph Co., IN. It appears that Sarah had a daughter from a previous marriage, Lois Louella BROWN b. 2 Oct 1913 in Indiana. Blake died 7 Aug 1967 in Grand Marais or Ann Arbor, MI and is buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Grand Marais, MI.

I am hoping to locate someone from Blake’s family so that this precious old photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
