"Watch it, fellows, that's Eddie in front of you." Why, he is so small, you can hardly notice him especially among the big husky boys of the P. A. group. Eddie's main interest at the present is the observation post where he is frequently seen. Eddie believes in the old maxim, "Children should be heard not just seen", (Slightly different version, of course). "

Edward Corey Silvia Sr. was born on January 6, 1927 in Middletown, Rhode Island to parents Anna Amelia Dutra (1895-1956) and Christopher C. Silva (1893-1963). He had 4 siblings including Frank Corey (1919-1945) and Christopher Corey Silva Jr. (1922-1995). He joined the United States military on April 27, 1945. On November 26, 1951 he married Mary Ellen Gillis (1931-2011) in Newport, Rhode Island, and did have children together. Edward C Silvia passed away on August 28, 2000 in Middletown, Newport, Rhode Island, USA.

My mom's side of the family is Swedish (and still lives in Sweden) and she instilled in me lots of Swedish heritage and traditions which has made me who I am today. My dad's side of the family is German and Irish and the most likely the side of the family I get all my freckles from.
