Bryant-Gay Wedding Announcement
Mr. and Mrs. Hardie T. Bryant of 4015 W. Hillsborough Ave. have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Marie Pauline Bryant, to Elmo Hilton Gay, son of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Storms, Oldsmar.

The wedding will take place Sept. 14 in Dre Park Baptist Temple at 7:30 p.m. Friends and relatives may attend. The bride-elect attended Chamberlain High School. Mr. Gay attended Clearwater High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He is employed with Karcher Brothers Masonry of Oldsmar.

Elmo H Gay
Elmo Hilton Gay was born to Henry Elmo Gay (1922-1960) and Sue Gay, and had a brother Eddie Gilbert Gay (1948-1969) and a half sister. Elmo enlisted in the United States Navy on May 23rd 1958 and served until discharge on March 2nd 1962, and married Marie Pauline Bryant in September that year. He then re-enlisted on November 16th the same year and served until October 27th 1966.

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth. My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
