Cora Liechti
I have an old studio photograph of Cora LIECHTI which was taken at the Blair Studio in Allegan, MI in the 1890's or early 1900's. Cora appears to be in her teens or 20's at the time the photograph was taken. In addition to her name someone has also written "Maude" on the back of the photograph as if this is the person to whom the photograph was originally gifted.

Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Cora and her family:

Cora LIECHTI was b. 13 Oct 1875 in Allegan, MI to parents Frederick LIECHTI (1839-1916) and Louisa or Luisa L. FREY (1843-1929) who were married in 1864. Cora was one of 8 children born to this couple including Louise; Mary; Frederick Jr.; Rose or Rosana M.; Cora; George; Alice Ida; and Leta or Seta LIECHTI, all born between 1865 and 1885. Surname also appears as LICHTE in records.

Cora married Frederick “Fred” Godfrey ELLINGER (1871-1958) on 12 Mar or May 1908 in Miner Lake, MI and they had three children including, Milton L. ELLINGER (1910-1984); Paul Liechti ELLINGER (1918-2003); and Lulu Culler ELLINGER (1915-2006). Cora died 5 Jul 1950 in Allegan, MI and is buried in the Poplar Hill Cemetery in Monterey Township, Allegan Co., MI.

I’d like to get this photograph to a family member and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
