David Clark
I've "rescued" an old photograph of David CLARK which was taken at the Bannister Studio in New Richmond, WI sometime in the 1890's early 1900's. David appears to be in his teens or 20's at the time. In addition to his name, someone has also written "Cousin to Mitchell" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding David and his family:

David CLARK was b. abt 1882 in Wisconsin to parents Clarence Philip CLARK (1854-1918) and Phoebe HADLEY (1851-1926). David was one of 9 children born to this couple including, Lillian “Lilly” Dora; Maud LaPearl; David Howard; Ashabel; David; Prudence “Prudie” Rose; Buln; Ray Vaughn; and Vaughn CLARK, all born between 1874 and 1892. David died 29 Dec 1950 in Los Angeles, CA.

Census records provide the following details:

1910 census of Glenwood, WI:

Clarence CLARK, age 56, married 35 years, born WI, parents born NY, a Stone Works Mason
Phoebe CLARK, wife, age 55, married 35 years, 6 children/5 living, born NY, parents born NY
David CLARK, son, age 28, born WI, a Farm Work Laborer
Bulu CLARK, dau, age 27, born WI
Vaughn CLARK, son, age 18, born WI

I’m hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this CLARK Family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
Date & Place: in New Richmond, St. Croix County, Wisconsin 54017, United States

The middle part, the curl, the straw hat pushed back on his head, David sure shows the fashion of the time.

If the lady who submitted the photo is a member of Ancestry.com, David Clark is in a number of family trees there. She may be able to find someone who would like the photo and could post it. A very nice lady found some photos of members of my mother's family in an antique store and contacted me that way. I now have the photos she found in my tree.

I have done this with pictures I have in old albums. I try to reunite them with the family members they were closet too on the tree.
