Dreamland - Coney Island, N.Y.
Dreamland was an amusement park at Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York City that lasted from 1904 through 1911.
Dreamland was created by William H. Reynolds with the dream of creating an a high class amusement park. There were multiple architectural wonders including rides, thrills and over 1 million light bulbs (as you can tell in this photo!). In actuality, Dreamland became known for the various freak shows and odd exhibits.
In 1911 the electric light bulbs began exploding and a fire ignited which spread throughout the entire park. After the fire of 1911 it was decided to close Dreamland.
