Duncan Robertson Linsley
I have an old studio photograph of Duncan Robertson LINSLEY of New London, CT which was taken when Duncan was 20 months old. The photograph is dated Dec 1901. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Duncan and his family:

Duncan Robertson LINSLEY was b. 20 or 22 Apr 1900 in New London, CT to parents James Russell LINSLEY (1858-1933) and Helen A. ROBERTSON (1864-1907) who were married about 1888 in New London, CT. Duncan was one of 2 children born to this couple including a brother James Russell LINSLEY Jr. (1902-1936). It appears that his father was married previously and had another son, Dr. Rowland Scott LINSLEY (1889-1969). Duncan was a MIT Class of 1922 graduate and after graduation worked for Chase Harris Forbes Corporation until 1934 when he joined The First Boston Corporation, holding the position of Vice Chairman until his retirement in 1960.

Duncan married Julia Williams QUAINTANCE (1900-1983) on 5 Sept 1925 in New London, CT and they had two children including Julia Williams “June” LINSLEY (1928-2010) and James Duncan LINSLEY (1936-1970). Duncan died 29 Apr 1972 and is buried in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in New London, CT. Duncan’s obituary lists his survivors including his wife, a daughter Julia Williams LINSLEY and two unnamed grandchildren.

I’d like to get the photograph to a family member and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
