Ellen Grace Hazelton Blodgett Nelson
I have an old studio photograph of Grace HAZELTON BLODGETT which was taken at the Briggs Photo Studio in Bristol, NH. Grace is also identified as "Brother George's widow". The photograph was taken in the 1880's with Grace appearing to be in her 20's or 30's at the time. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Grace and her family:

Ellen Grace HAZELTON was b. 14 Jan 1864 in Groton, NH to parents Rufus Barnes HAZELTON (1828-1879) and Martha Maria HUNKINS (1826-1902) who were married 20 May 1854 in Groton, NH. Grace was one of 6 children born to this couple including Elizabeth “Lizzie” Marie; Herman Rufus; Mary Isabelle; Sarah A.; Ellen Grace; Clara Jane; and Rosetta “Rose” Colby HAZELTON, all born between 1855 and 1874. Some records suggest that the last two children may not have been born to Martha, but maybe a second wife of Rufus, identified as Ida F. SMITH.

Grace was married twice, first to Dr. George A. BLODGETT (1855-1889) on 28 Nov 1883 in Hebron County, NH and then after his death she married Winfield Scott NELSON (1846-1932) on 5 Mar 1901 in Eliot, ME. Grace died 16 Jul 1932 in Barnstead, NH and she is buried in Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord, NH.

I’d like to get the photograph to family and would appreciate you reaching out to me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
