Ester Levine

I’ve “rescued” an old photograph of Ester LEVINE which was taken at the Childs Studio in Ishpeming, MI. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890’s with Ester likely in her teens or 20’s at the time. Based on limited research I was able to locate Ester in census records as follows:

1900 census of Michigamme, MI:

Marcus LEVINE, age 50, born Jun 1849, married 25 years, born Germany, parents born Poland, to USA 1881, a Clothing Merchant
Sarah LEVINE, wife, age 44, born Jul 1855, married 25 years, 7 children/6 living, born Sweden, parents born Germany, to USA 1882
Able LEVINE, son, age 21, born Jul 1878, born Sweden, a Clothing Salesman
Ester LEVINE, dau, age 18, born Nov 1881, born Sweden
Hettie LEVINE, dau, age 15, born Feb 1885, born MI
David LEVINE, son, age 11, born Jun 1889, born MI
