Fannie May Collins Spofford
I have two old studio photographs belonging to the SPOFFORD Family of Massachusetts. The first is a photograph of Albert SPOFFORD which was taken at the W. C. Thompson Studio in Amesbury, MA. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Albert appearing to be in his 20's or 30's at time. He is also identified as "Uncle".

The second photograph is identified as "Aunt Fannie S." and was taken at the same studio in Amesbury, MA. I believe that this is a photograph of Albert's wife Fannie May COLLINS SPOFFORD which was also taken in the 1880's. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding this couple and their families:

Albert K. SPOFFORD was b. 21 Oct 1856 in Chester, NH to parents Jason SPOFFORD and Susan E. PARSONS who were married 1 Jan 1849. Albert was one of 9 children born to this couple including Sebastian; Jason Jr.; Caroline J.; Albert K.; Charles P.; George McClellan; Elmer E.; Alice G.; and Osman SPOFFORD, all born between 1850 and 1872.

Albert married Fannie May COLLINS (1861-1949) on 23 Nov 1889 in Amesbury, MA. They had a son, Ralph Oliver SPOFFORD (1890-1951). Albert died 24 Dec 1938 in Amesbury, MA and he is buried in the Mount Prospect Cemetery in Amesbury.

Fannie May COLLINS was b. 20 Mar 1861 in Salisbury, MA to parents Moses COLLINS (1819-1903) and Abigail MORRILL (1821-1899) who were married 29 Oct 1843 in Salisbury, MA. Fannie was one of 7 children born to this couple including Laura Frances; Abby Morrill; Benjamin Morrill; Anne; Salome French; Moses Everett; and Fannie May COLLINS, all born between 1844 and 1861.

Fannie died in 1949 and is buried in the Mount Prospect Cemetery in Amesbury, MA.

I would love to get these treasured photographs back to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
