Flossie Ruth Anderson
I have an old studio photograph identified as Flossie Ruth ANDERSON which was taken in the 1890’s at the Edmonston Studio in East Liverpool, OH. Flossie is identified as 4 months old at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Flossie and her family:

Flossie Ruth ANDERSON was b. 1897 in Ohio to parents John ANDERSON (b. 1866) and Premille or Permilla GERLOFF (1866-1918). Flossie was one of three children born to this couple including siblings Earl B. ANDERSON (b. 1889) and Evangiline “Eva” G. ANDERSON (b. 1892). Flossie’s mother Permilla died 30 Dec 1918 in New York City, NY and her obituary indicates that she was survived by her husband John ANDERSON; two daughters Miss Eva and Miss Flossie ANDERSON both of Tottenville, NY; and a son Earl ANDERSON of Brooklyn, NY. Permilla was buried in the Bethel Cemetery in Tottenville, NY.

In 1920 Flossie was living with her father and sister in Richmond, NY and reported on the census as follows:

John ANDERSON age 54
Eva ANDERSON age 27
F. Ruth ANDERSON age 23, born 1897 in OH, Father born in England, Mother born in PA, a Commercial Artist

I am hoping to be able to get the photograph back to a family member. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
Date & Place: at Edmondston Studio in East Liverpool, Columbiana County, Ohio 43920, United States
