Frances M. Thompson Ritchie
I have an old studio photograph identified as Frances RITCHIE of 2275 Bryant, San Francisco, CA. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900’s with Frances likely in her 20’s at the time. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Frances and her family:

Frances M. THOMPSON was b. 3 Jan 1884 in New Zealand to parents Andrew George THOMPSON (1831-1921) and Margaret THOMPSON (1861-1913). Frances was one of 5 children born to this couple including Bert; Frances M.; Amelia Blanch; Edith Maud; and Emily THOMPSON, all born between 1881 and 1892. Frances immigrated to the United States in 1900 or 1901 and lived in San Francisco. Frances married Raymond “Ray” J. RITCHIE (died 1952) and they had a son Rinaldo Francis RITCHIE (1920-2006).

Frances died 20 Mar 1974 in San Francisco, CA and is buried in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma, CA. Frances’ obituary lists her surviving family members including a son Rinaldo “Ray” Francis RITCHIE; grandchildren James, Kathleen, and Marian RITCHIE and Frances ROHRER; great-grandson Joseph ROHRER and mother-in-law to Marian RITCHIE.

I would like to get the photograph to her family and appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
