Harland Shunk

I have an old studio photograph of Harland SHUNK which was taken at the Remmerts Studio in Westville, IN. The photograph was taken in the early 1900's with Harland likely about 5 to 7 months old at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Harland and his family:

Harland or Harlan Webster SHUNK was b. 4 Jan 1907 in Westville or La Porte, IN to parents Daniel Webster SHUNK (1868-1928) and Marie or Maria or Mary Elizabeth MICHAEL (1881-1918) who were married 17 Feb 1904. Harland was one of 5 children born to this couple including Enid Leola; Harland Webster; Floyd Oliver; Allen Clifford; and Franklin “Frank” Michael SHUNK, all born between 1905 and 1913. Harland married Bertha Louise MURPHY (1911-1994) on 17 Apr 1930 in Elkhart, IN and they had a son Harland Webster SHUNK Jr. (1932-2003) and a daughter. Harland died 4 Feb 1993 in Euclid, OH and is buried in the Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights, OH.
