Henrietta WAKEMAN
I have in my possession and old photograph of Henrietta WAKEMAN which was taken at the Woodin Studio in New Haven, CT when she was 61 ½ years of age. I’d like to see the photograph returned to a family member. Based on limited research I was able to gather this information regarding Henrietta and her family:

Henrietta SHARP was b. 12 Dec 1823 in Connecticut to parents Henry SHARP (1789-1823) and Polly SHELTON or SHERMAN (b. 1793). Henrietta was one of 5 children born to this couple including Urzelia; Arzelia; Nancy; Henrietta; and Walker Shelton SHARP all born between 1810 and 1823. After her father died her mother remarried and had two additional children including Patrick MCGILMAN (b. 1830) and Philip GALLAGHAN (b. 1832). Henrietta was married twice, first to Mr. LOCKWOOD with whom she had two sons, William H. LOCKWOOD (b. 1850) and Charles E. LOCKWOOD (b. 1856) and a Baby Girl (b. 1860).

Her second marriage was to William WAKEMAN (1817-1909) who she married on 23 Apr 1864. Henrietta died 22 Feb 1914 and is buried in the Westville Cemetery in New Haven, CT.

I am hoping to locate someone from her family so that this wonderful old treasure can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
