Henry Joseph Kikta
I have an old studio photograph identified as Henry KIKTA which appears to have been taken on his confirmation. He appears to be about 11 years old at the time. There is no studio or location, however after limited research I believe that this is a photograph of Henry Joseph KIKTA who was born 12 Jan 1920 in New York to parents Jan KIKTA (1882-1922) and Klementyna KRZYZANIAK (1886-1967) who were married 6 May 1903 in Buffalo, NY.

Henry was one of 7 children born to this couple including Leokadya “Leona”; Bernard; Wladyslawa or Charlotte “Lottie”; Casimer John; Edward; Marta or Martha; and Henry Joseph KIKTA, all born between 1905 and 1920. Henry died 16 Mar 1944 in Lubbock County, TX while serving in the US Army Air Force at the South Plains Army Airfield in a plane crash. Henry is buried in the Saint Stanislaus Roman Catholic Cemetery in Cheektowaga, NY.

I’d like to get the photograph to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
