Herbert Lincoln SANDERSON
I've recovered an old photograph of Herbert Lincoln SANDERSON which was taken at the I. Palmer Clarke Studio in Cambridge, UK which was taken when Herbert was just 1 year old. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Herbert and his family:

Herbert “Jim” SANDERSON was b. 15 Nov 1907 in Cambridge or Chesterton, England to parents Herbert James W. SANDERSON (1880-1973 or 1974) and Alice Victoria “Vicky” or “Lal” STOAKLEY (1878 or 1879-1968). He had one brother, Anthony or Antony (Tony) Rupert SANDERSON (1910 or 1913-1997). Jim married Brenda M. STUBBING (1910-2001) in Dec 1936 in Cambridge, England and they had a son. Jim died 17 May 1980 in Bexleyheath, Kent, England and is buried in Greenwich, London, England.

I am hoping to locate someone from the family so that this photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
Date & Place: at I. Palmer Clarke Studio in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire County, England United Kingdom

I want to build a place where my son can meet his great-grandparents. My grandmother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch always wanted to meet her great-grandchildren, but she died just a handful of years before my son's birth. So while she didn't have the opportunity to meet him, at least he will be able to know her. For more information about what we're building see About AncientFaces. My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
