John W. Gardemal
John Wallace Gardemal was born on July 4, 1965 in Lufkin, Texas to parents Elizabeth Joyce Moss and Richard Dean Gardemal. He had a brother, Richard Gardemal, Jr and a sister, Pamela Gardemal (1960-2018). He was graduated from Lufkin High School in 1983, was a student at Texas A&M University until 1986, and then graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center (San Antonio) in 1990. He was on track to complete his orthopedic surgery residency training in San Antonio in June. John married Lisa Marie Gardemal on February 16, 1991 in Fort Worth, Texas, USA the year after graduating college. They had a son together, Brandon Michael Gardemal of San Antonio, and were expecting a daughter to be born in October of 1995. Dr. Gardemal died Friday, June 16, 1995 in a drowning accident in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
