John Lawrence Nelson

I have an old snapshot photograph of Lawrence NELSON taken in Ann Arbor, MI in 1923. Lawrence appears to be in his teens or 20’s at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Lawrence and his family:

John Lawrence NELSON was b. 7 Nov 1900 in Manistee, MI to parents Johan or John Nilsson Cederberg NELSON (1856-1931) and Kristina NILSDOTTER (1863-1943). Lawrence was one of 8 children born to this couple including Ada Winnie; Edward William; Albert John; Anna Lee; George or Georg Godfrey; Harold William; Clifford Thomas; and John Lawrence NELSON, all born between 1883 and 1900.

Lawrence attended college in Ann Arbor, MI from 1919 to 1921with his hometown listed as Sparta, MI at that time. Lawrence married Helen Elizabeth BRUMMEL (1907-1998) and he died 21 Jul 1962 and is buried in the Oakhill Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MI.
