My father, John William Charles RIGGS, b. March 5, 1909, was born in Jeanette, Decatur Co., TN. He moved his family to Southwestern MI around 1938 where he found work at the House of David vineyards. He died April 19, 1987 in St. Joseph, Berrien Co., MI.
He is descended from Melvin Claud RIGGS and Hattie Ovella COLEMAN. Melvin is descended from Isaah Calvin RIGGS, b. 1834, AL; d. after 1910, Decatur Co., TN.
Isaah's father was either Jesse or John Washington RIGGS. If anyone knows the exact identity of his father, I would appreciate hearing from you.
Could this Jesse or John have a brother named Noah or sister named Rindy? I am looking for Noah's parents, which were John and we think Sarah or Mary. They were from the Knoxville area and some moved to MO as well.
