Joseph Augustine Cushman

I have an old studio photograph of Joseph A. CUSHMAN which was taken at the Robinson Studio in Bridgewater, MA. The photograph was taken in the 1880's with Joseph appearing to be about 5 years old at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Joseph and his family:

Joseph Augustine CUSHMAN was b. 31 Jan 1881 in Bridgewater, MA to parents Darius CUSHMAN (1830-1897) and Jane Frances FULLER (1839-1910) who were married 10 May 1868 in Bridgewater, MA. Joseph had one full sibling, a brother Alfred Thomas CUSHMAN (1869-1884). His parents were both married previously and between them had three additional children including Alfred Chester PRATT (1858-1859); Edith Frances PRATT (1864-1866); and Albert CUSHMAN (1866-1936).

Joseph graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1903. Joseph was married twice, first to Alice Edna WILSON (1878-1912) on 7 Oct 1903 in Fall River, MA and then after his first wife died, he married Frieda Gerlach BILLINGS (1880-1966) on 3 Sept 1913 in Sharon, MA. He had three children with his first wife including Robert Wilson; Alice Eleanor; and Ruth Allerton CUSHMAN, all born between 1905 and 1910. Joseph died 16 Apr 1949 in Sharon, MA and is buried in the Mount Prospect Cemetery in Bridgewater, MA.
