Kim Jesse Hunter was born on Feb 4, 1955 in Ludington, Mason, Michigan, USA. He is the son of Lillian Margaret Hallberg and Jerry A. Hunter and had a brother. He is a graduate of Scottville High School and went on to attend and graduate from the Michigan Technical Institute (MIT). He was employed as a carpenter in Walhalla. On June 5, 1976 he married Cherly Malia Surma at St. John Cantlus Church in Free Soil, MI. See their wedding announcement: Cheryl Surma Weds Kim Hunter .
