Kline Susong- Middlesboro High School

Kline Marvin Susong was born on October 13, 1917 in Greeneville, Greene, Tennessee, United States to parents Jesse Jerlis Susong (1890-1954) and Jodie Kate Rutherford-Susong (1895-1974). He was a high school graduate of Middlesboro High School in Middlesboro, Kentucky, USA. In school, he was the football and basketball manager. At the age of 23 he registered for the draft on October 16, 1940, in Indiana, USA, where he was residing in Indianapolis. Kline was employed by P R Mallory Co at the time. On May 15, 1942, he enlisted in the United States Army and held the rank of Private. He entered the service under the branch "Branch Immaterial - Warrant Officers, USA," and he was classified under the component "Selectees (Enlisted Men)."
