Lou's Village - THE restaurant in San Jose
Lou's Village opened in San Jose California in 1946. It was THE place to meet in San Jose and offered a smorgasbord, barbecued dinner, and dancing in the 5,500 square foot building.
Lou's Village created a name for itself by offering live entertainment (in which MANY Hollywood celebrities performed). In fact, many signed photos of the celebrities hung on just about every foot of the walls throughout the building.
Larry Gates would hold his Board of Directors meeting for the Santa Clara Contractors Association (SCVCA) each year with the owner operators of such iconic contractors such as Therma, O.C. McDonald, Air Systems, and many more.
The Santoro-Muller family ran Lou's Village - Lou Santoro and Paul Polizzi worked together for 25 years in the San Jose Fire Department and opened the restaurant when they retired.
